Riot Games has announced who will be serving as the next commissioner for the League of Legends Championship Series, and likewise who will be operating as the head of North American League of Legends esports. Jackie Felling will be taking up the mantle, and is bringing to the role 16 years of experience in the esports scene, with time spent previously at the Overwatch League, the Call of Duty League, and in Gears of War esports.
Revealed in a blog post, Felling stated that the role of LCS commissioner suited her as she "wanted to be somewhere where I could make a real impact, and where my passion for community and players could be fueled."
As for what is immediately next, Felling has stated that she will be working with the North American and OCE esports lead, Chris Greeley closely, as she transitions into the role of commissioner. We're also told that in the near future, the LCS team will be gathering feedback on how to better the league and build and execute a vision for the future of the LCS.
