Final Strike Games and publisher Nexon America have revealed a multiplayer shooter called Rocket Arena, and what's more is that we also have news of a closed beta coming to PC from May 23 to 29, which you can sign up for right here.
Rocket Arena is a 3v3 experience featuring various colourful characters battling in five-minute matches on the Rocket Championship Tour. There are various creative weapons to go with these characters, as well as other mechanics like abilities.
There's a blast meter on each player as well, and as the meter increases and reaches critical point, they are more at risk of being blasted off the map. Dedicated matchmaking also accounts for latency and skill level as well, and there will be cross-platform play between PC and Xbox One at launch, with the PS4 version still in development.
"We developed Rocket Arena with high-quality gameplay mechanics, superb controls, and the network code required of an online FPS. Rocket Arena is an intricate shooter at its core, complete with a marvelous world, colorful characters, and ridiculous rockets," said Kevin Franklin, Founder and CEO of Final Strike Games. "Nexon shared our vision for Rocket Arena and provided the resources and expertise to realize our goal. The result is a game that our team is exceptionally proud of, and look forward to playing every day."
The closed beta will feature six maps, four game modes, and six characters, with cosmetic rewards available to unlock that will stay with you into the full game. For more details on those rewards though, head this way.
