Koei Tecmo has revealed that the historical strategy series Romance of The Three Kingdoms is getting a new entry in Romance of The Three Kingdoms XIV, which is currently in development for PC and PS4. We even have a new trailer down below as well, preparing us for more of the franchise.

This entry is set during the fall of the Han Dynasty, and the map showcases territory and expansion using a simplified colour system, paying homage to the original Romance of The Three Kingdoms XIV on PC in 1985. Your aim is to manage and gather land across China, using the ruler-based system from the ninth and eleventh games.

All actions take place on a single map, and officers like Liu Bei and Guan Yu will impact the story. There's even evolved AI being implemented as well, as well as varying policies within the same faction and other variables to ensure that no playthrough is the same as another.

Those of us in the West can expect the game in early 2020. Are you going to return to the series, or play it for the first time?
