Game Informer's Imran Khan made many gamers' hearts skip a beat or two when he stated the following during his visit on the Kinda Funny Games Daily show last Wednesday:

"There's a game that's thought to be dead that Nintendo's reviving, and it's not one that people would expect. It was very much a title that was dead and buried. Very officially cancelled."

What could it be? Multiple theories have spread across the Internet since then, but Nintendo Insider's sources claim it's a game few expected, namely Scalebound.

It's been two years since Microsoft decided to cancel Platinum Games' project after a long time of silence, and Hideki Kamiya has on several occasions aired his disappointment of the decision. Nintendo Insider's sources claim his prayers have been heard and that Nintendo has resurrected game as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. Nintendo and Platinum Games have a great relationship, so it wouldn't be extremely surprising. Especially as Nintendo has become increasingly friendly with Microsoft as well. Let's say it's true: has the development been completely rebooted to avoid using assets Microsoft helped create or has Phil Spencer and co. allowed them to continue development where it left off? Time will tell.

Would this be the resurrection you wanted or are there other franchises higher up on your wish list?
