Shedworks' game Sable was meant to be released this year, but developer Gregorios Kythreotis has announced in an update that this has been pushed back to 2020 so that the team can take more time on it, since it "was always going to be tight getting the game out in 2019".

The game first started development back in 2017, having been worked on full-time since October of that year. Kythreotis explains that they originally thought it would take two years to develop, but "for us to fully realise the game we want to make, we now think we need a bit more time".

When the game does release though, we can expect a soundtrack from Michelle Zauner, as well as narrative design from Meg Jayanth, who has worked on Sunless Sea and Horizon: Zero Dawn in the past. Animation is coming from Micah Holland, with Martin Kvale providing sound design too, and the team has expanded in various other ways since the game was first conceived.

Last year's we found out that Sable's art style is influenced by Akira, French comics, and more, and for further details on the game check out the official site.
