It's been 13 years since we last saw Samurai Jack, but for fans of Genndy Tartakovsky's animated series, it's felt like half a century. The show gathered some strong fan following when it released, as it sported a pretty fresh and dynamic approach, but Cartoon Network wounded up stopping it in 2004.

Fans knew Jack would return, since new label Adult Swim (the publishers for the Rick and Morty show and the Rise & Shine video game) unveiled a teaser announcement in December, and this week they have both published the trailer above and a launch date: March 11.

With Jack now under the more mature label, and TV shows being so widely spread these days, the series could get much better support and success. And for those who missed it back in the day in 2001-2004, Adult Swim has posted the entirety of those seasons online, which you can watch here, no login required.

Samurai Jack's popularity back in the day also led to a couple of video games, The Shadow of Aku for PS2 and Gamecube, and The Amulet of Time for GBA, both getting a lukewarm reception. Do you want Jack to be back in a samurai-action video game as well? Leave a comment below.
