Reports coming from Japan suggest that Nintendo are looking to revive several classic titles and launch them on the 3DS. It is well documented that the 3DS doesn't have the widest portfolio of titles, so this news will likely be welcomed by owners of the handheld console.

The first title mentioned as a possibility is Seaman; the classic Dreamcast pet-sim. The report came from the online edition of Nikkei (and was later translated by Andriasang), and it makes mention of a plan to bring other publisher's titles over to the platform. Seaman is mentioned as an example but no other specifics are given.

The creator of Seaman, Yoot Saito, is currently working on a 3DS title for Level 5. According to the report, a couple of years ago Saito hinted that the 1999 cult-classic could make the transfer over to Nintendo's handheld, and now it seems as though he may have been right.
