In just two months we can finally experience the third chapter in the challenging action-RPG series. Dark Souls III will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 12, and needless to say there's plenty of expectation building up ahead of its launch.

From Software hasn't talked about downloadable content thus far, but we're pretty sure that there will be some kind of additional adventure, our hunch based on the success of the DLC for the previous instalment in the series.

Microsoft has now revealed some information over on the Xbox Store. There will be two DLC packs, which you can buy individually or get cheaper as a part of the season pass. The packs will contain new maps, bosses, enemies and more weapons and gear. Here's the official description:

Expand your Dark Souls III experience with the Season Pass and gain access to 2 epic DLC packs at a discounted price. Challenge yourself with new maps, bosses, enemies and additional weapon and armor sets. Prepare yourself once more and embrace the darkness.

It was also recently revealed (by accident) that the original Dark Souls will be free for those who pre-order Dark Souls III on Xbox One.

REVIEW. Written by Kim Orremark

"It's a great addition to an already wonderful game, however, it's far too short and the arena could have used a little more work."
