Korok Village, Great Plateau and Lakeside Stable. These are the three areas we've chosen to try and confirm whether Zelda's new update patch actually improves frame-rate, one of the very few gripes pointed out by critics in their almost universally gushing reviews.

And the truth is, going from version 1.1.0 to 1.1.1, makes a difference in terms of the smoothness of the frame-rate. No matter if you have the game on Wii U or Nintendo Switch, if you walk around one of the choppier areas, you'll now notice a much smoother and more stable image.

It's not ideal yet as it won't stick to 30 fixed fps, but at least the response is nicer. But check it out for yourselves in this comparison video we've captured with the Switch version in docked mode.
