Sega promises next Sonic game will be good

It seems like the actually might be a reason to look forward to the next game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series... at least if Sega themselves are to be believed. Via the official Twitter for everything Sonic, the picture below was posted with the comment: "We solemnly swear we're up to something good."

Most of the Sonic games of the last ten years have been garbage with Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric the worst of the lot. The only true exception is Sonic Generations from 2011. If Sega can keep their promise and bring Sonic back to his former glory remains to be seen.

It is worth poitning out that Sega has a Sonic event on July 22, where something will be revealed regarding Sonic's future endeavours as it is his 25th anniversary. Hopefully, E3 next month could provide us with some clues as well.
