Mexican Clash Royale player Sergioramos:) has been crowned the world's best player of Supercell's strategy game, earning not only the Golden Crown, but also $150,000 USD in prize money.

The Crown Championship took place in London and saw the game's first ever global esports competition come to a conclusion, whittling 27 million players down to 16 at the finals, and then to just one, as Sergioramos:) beat out US player MusicMaster to get the win.

"When I first started playing Clash Royale, I was just doing it for fun, and I never could have imagined making it to this level," Sergioramo:) said. "There were so many other amazing competitors at the World Finals, and it was an honor to have played with them this weekend."

Can Clash Royale continue its success as a mobile esport?
