The eMLS competition serves to bring the best players together in the US to compete under the banner of their favourite MLS team, and now the official website for Major League Soccer has revealed that Series Two is coming next week, or February 17 to be precise.
The second event of the 2019 eMLS season is taking place at the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Frisco, Texas from 16:30 CT (22:30 GMT, 23:30 CET), where fans can either watch in person or on the stream. Those in person can get free food and beverages, exclusive eMLS merchandise, design their own FC Dallas eMLS apparel, and even create personal FIFA Ultimate Team cards.
22 players representing MLS teams will be present to compete in a round-robin regular season before the Series Two livestream starts, with each earning three points per win and one for a tie. The top four in both East and West will then advance further to compete for the title and the top prize of $5,000 USD.
The points earned in the day have a bearing on eMLS Cup positioning too, as the five players with the most points across the first and second series, as well as the regular season, will get seeded into the finals bracket of the eMLS Cup, with the last seed reserved for the Last Chance Bracket winner featuring remaining players.
