Heavy Spectrum's Shadow of the Beast is heading to PlayStation 4 on May 17, and when it comes it's going to come complete with the 1989 original that inspired it. The classic game will be available via emulation as part of the package, and there's more treats for retro-fans, including the original cover art and a soundtrack by Ian Livingstone. As detailed over on the PlayStation Blog, they're also including an infinite lives feature for the original; those who played it will remember the punishing difficulty level and thus they've softened the challenge for newcomers (and, perhaps, for older gamers who've lost their edge).
