The Shanghai Dragons Overwatch League team has announced that Min-seong "diem" Bae has retired from competitive Overwatch due to "personal reasons." The hitscan specialist was known for his prowess on sniper characters, and was regarded as the first back-to-back Widowmaker 1v1 champion in the OWL.

The statement from the Dragons reads; "But now comes the incredibly tough time to say goodbye to our athlete, our soldier, and our friend. Diem has officially submitted his application for retirement from the team based on the evaluation of his status."

While the Dragons will miss having Diem on its roster, the team who still fields Byung-sun "Fleta" Kim, Jae-won "LIP" Lee, and Seung-jun "WhoRU" Lee should still remain a top tier team in the league.
