This week Goichi 'Suda51' Suda, founder of Grasshopper Manufacture, announced No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again for the Nintendo Switch, and it was revealed that the game would feature six different indie games, some details of which we've now received.

In terms of story, No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again is set in the remote countryside of southern US, seven years after the events of No More Heroes. Badman wants revenge on Travis for murdering his daughter Badgirl, and during a battle both get sucked inside the phantom game console Death Drive MK-II. It's said that one that collects and beats all six of its games will have all their wishes granted.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes itself will be a 3D action game, with one of the six games already being teased during the announcement: Hotline Miami, and now Suda has confirmed yesterday night during Nintendo's PAX West 2017 livestream that Shovel Knight is the second collaboration.

"We've received a tremendous amount of support from our fans over the years, and we are delighted to finally share Travis Touchdown's next great adventure with fans of Nintendo Switch," said Suda. "We're ecstatic to be expanding the No More Heroes universe in 2018, and we can't wait to share more information with you in the coming months."

No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again used the Unreal Engine 4 and is planned for a release in 2018. Is Shovel Knight a welcome addition?
