As we're nearing Halloween, many gamers start replaying the horror games in their gaming library, but there's one game that just brings up painful memories, not because it was a bad one, but simply because it never released. Konami pulled the plug on the planned game Silent Hills that took horror fans and gamers alike by storm with its playable teaser demo P.T. shortly after it was announced and even pulled the demo from the PlayStation store. Since then, Silent Hill fans have been wondering where Konami would take the Silent Hill franchise going forward and whether or not there would even be a future for the series.

Now, we have an answer for the near future at least, even though we're still hoping for a new Silent Hill video game to be released. Konami recently revealed that it will be releasing a Silent Hill-themed slot machine called Silent Hill: Escape. The information comes from PCGamesN and you can read up on it more here.

"This cabinet is a striking combination of sleek entertainment, premium packaging, and player comfort, backed by a rich library of original titles," stated Konami's Tom Jingoli in a recent press release, "Everything, including its shape, screens, betting surface, and available merchandising, has been engineered to maximize both player experience and operational results."
