Konami has today announced that it will be releasing Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for PS Vita this summer.

The Vita HD update will include remastered versions of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Both games will receive a graphical overhaul, and both will utilise the Vita's touch-screen capabilities. The games will also benefit from the unique 'Transfarring' system, for data-sharing with PS3 consoles.

Konami's Martin Schneider said: "The PlayStation Vita system will provide fans with an exciting new way to enjoy the  METAL GEAR SOLID HD Collection. We're confident that users will be pleased with the new innovations Kojima Productions have implemented with the new PlayStation Vita iterations, offering a truly unique experience for this exciting new format."
