Bungie has updated fans once again on the changes coming to Destiny 2, and those in the Solar subclasses should expect a big shakeup, as ability trees are being reworked as part of their ongoing goal to "revisit some older subclass paths and freshen them up a bit."

This aims to make them feel like "viable choices" for players, and Solar ones in particular felt like they weren't good enough. Way of the Sharpshooter is changing so that players choose it more often, for example, and so for 3-shot Bungie is increasing auto-aim distance and reliability when aiming down the sights, with 6-shot having its damage falloff range decreased.

We can also expect a new Explosive Prox Knife in Way of the Outlaw, a new weighted knife, and a Knock 'em Down feature, meaning precision final blows increase weapon stability and ADS (aim down sight) speed.

In terms of Code of the Devastator, the Roaring Flame perk has been buffed to increase bonus damage, lasting 25% longer too. The base damage of the Throwing Hammer is also higher now, and you don't have to get as close to pick it up again.

On top of that, Burning Maul lasts longer too, and the heavy-slam should feel more powerful against airborne foes.

Attunement of Sky is also being tweaked, reducing the speed at which Burst Glide accelerates players in Daybreak.

"We know this is a controversial change but we wanted to reserve the air superiority gameplay with Attunement of Sky and the Burst Glide speed was blurring the lines between both Daybreak paths," Bungie writes.

Icarus Dashes in Daybreak have increased speed and thrust too, and the new Celestial Fire melee attack sends out three explosive Solar projectiles. Heat Rises and Winged Sun are also getting reworks, and for the full details on all of the changes head this way.

"It's actually an improvement over the last expansion despite the fact that they feel quite similar."
