Spec Ops: The Line will probably be remembered as one of the most challenging games for Yager Development, and although it was a very good game, we have bad news for you if you're hoping for a sequel.

The game's writer, Walt Williams - currently working on Star Wars: Battlefront II - has re-emphasised that he is not in any way interested in getting back to work on the game. In fact, would prefer to "eat broken glasses before making a sequel". Ouch.

After a question asked on Twitter by a fan, Williams has stated that he is in no way interested in any sequel "because it was a brutal, painful development & everyone who worked on it would eat broken glass before making another. Also it didn't sell."

As you probably recall, Yager Development was cut off from Deep Silver in 2015, removing them from Dead Island 2 development. Following this decision, Yager Productions GmbH was closed for insolvency in 2015.

REVIEW. Written by Rasmus Lund-Hansen

"One feels that the choice of genre and setting was chosen because it was how they could best support the story and not vice versa."
