Spider-Man: No Way Home is by far the most anticipated MCU movie since Avengers: Endgame, and in large part that's due to rumours and guesses from the fans. Well, we're not here to tell you what's right or what's wrong, as this is mostly a spoiler-free review. We will only cover what was already revealed in trailers and the synopsis.

No Way Home picks up right where the previous movie, Far From Home, ended, with Mysterio and Jonah Jameson revealing to the world that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. As you can imagine, this turns the teenager's life upside down (no pun intended), and the first act is mainly focused on the aftermath. Eventually Peter will seek Dr. Strange's help, but a spell will go wrong and several villains from other universes will end up entering the MCU, all from the previous Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield movies.

This is what the trailers basically showed us. The rest of the story... you'll have to watch the movie.

What we can say is that No Way Home is a true Spider-Man story, perhaps the most it ever came to mimicking the comics. Yes, Dr. Strange is in the movie and there are other references to the larger Marvel universe, but overall this is a film focused on Peter Parker's little world, and we appreciate that. In fact, it's what you can call a full blown fan-service movie, and while we're usually not fans of these types of movies, No Way Home has at least the advantage of fully embracing that idea and running it as far at it can. We decided to do the same and embrace it for what it is.

That's, of course, easy, as we're massive Spider-Man fans. More casual fans or viewers, however, might not appreciate it as much. Of the three acts, the second one is the slowest and somewhat boring, although the first and third acts mostly make up for a weak second act. Spider-Man: No Way Home is also not only the MCU film where Peter Parker has to face his darkest moment so far, but also the one where the character shows the biggest growth as a teenager and a hero alike.

A word also for the vast and impressive cast of actors. It was great to see returning faces like Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange and Zendaya as MJ, and a true delight to watch Alfred Molina (Doc Oc), Jamie Foxx (Electro), and Willem Dafoe (Osborn/Green Goblin), back to their old roles. The highlight however was Tom Holland. The actor shows once more that he was the perfect casting for a modern Peter Parker/Spider-Man, exhibiting many emotions throughout the film.

We can't dwell on Spider-Man: No Way Home much, or we might delve into spoiler territory. What we can tell you is that any able and willing Spider-Man or MCU fan should go to the theatre to watch this movie, as this is easily the best MCU movie since Endgame, even if a large part of that is pure fan-service. Oh, and by the way, a tip: stay until the very end of the credits, as there's two extra scenes you'll want to watch.
