Splatoon 2 has had a healthy life already, what with the Octo Expansion bolstering the content after launch and an esports scene growing around the inky shooter, but Nintendo Life reports that the next update on December 5 will be the last content drop we can expect for the game.

It's not small though, as eight new weapons are appearing in patch 4.3.0, including Ballpoint Splating Nouveau, Nautilus 79, Custom Explosher, and Bloblobber Deco (as pictured below). Character abilities are also in the firing line for changes too, as Bomb Defense Up and Cold Blooded have been merged to create the so-called Defense Up DX, not to mention the Main Power Up, which in various ways will change the properties of weapons, as you can see in bottom images below.

"Each mission with Agent 8 is better than any solo Splatoon content we've seen before, not only in terms of design and creativity but also in terms of difficulty."

REVIEW. Written by Sam Bishop

"We had a lot of fun with our time in the game, although returning players will have to weigh up for themselves whether there's enough to warrant the upgrade."
