Splyce have announced via their website that Enkhtaivan "Machinegun" Lkhagva and David "Davey" Stafford have been released from their CS:GO team.
The decision may well be a result of disappointing form in recent months, as Splice have failed to qualify for season two of Eleague as well as other international tournaments.
The announcement on the site read as follows: "Davey was an integral part of the growth of CS:GO at Splyce. His expertise, hard work and dedication were part of what brought us to the MLG Columbus Major and will continue to serve him on whichever future team he joins."
"Machinegun is an incredibly hard worker and an amazing player, but the language barriers were too great a challenge amidst the other difficulties of building a brand new team. He has the potential to be a top talent in the CS:GO scene with the right home."
"We thank both players for their time and wish them the best in all their future endeavors."
Splyce have used Damian "daps" Steele in previous qualifiers for Eleague, so he may be used as a replacement, but it's not clear who else will be coming in to fill the shoes of Machinegun and Davey. Do you think the decision to release them was fair?
