SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom remake inbound

This is part of THQ Nordic's three days of reveals, remastering the 2003 platformer ready for release next year.

Earlier today we reported that THQ Nordic would be revealing three games in three days ahead of E3, and now the first of these has been revealed on Twitter - SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated.

This will be coming in 2020, remastering the original 2003 game as THQ Nordic has done in the past with other titles like Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy. It's a platformer game featuring all the lovable characters from the show, and you can find a teaser trailer for the new version down below.

Nickelodeon and Purple Lamp Studios are helping to bring this to life, and when it releases we can expect it on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
