With BlizzCon behind us, a lot of news and speculation is surfacing all across the internet, and with the number of games that have been announced you can never rule out any successful franchise being continued.

In a PC Gamer interview StarCraft 2 production director Tim Morton was asked about a potential third game in the series, and while he didn't give too much away, he did say the following:

"The best way for us to figure out our future is to hear from players, so, I think if there's an interest in seeing more RTS games, sending that message to Blizzard would be a wonderful thing."

"Ultimately, the team that works on StarCraft 2 is incredibly passionate about real-time strategy as a genre, I can certainly say it's my favourite genre to play and so far it's been my favourite genre to work on."

The team at Blizzard is clearly very passionate about the genre and franchise, so it seems there could be an opportunity for this team to work on StarCraft 3 in the future. It's clear that if this is the case Morton would be very happy with the opportunity and would have a very passionate team behind him.

Would you want to see StarCraft 3 and would you play it?
