Back in November developer Image & Form more or less promised that the Nintendo 3DS version of SteamWorld Heist would be released in December. All we missed was a launch date, and today that date has been revealed:

"SteamWorld Heist launches on Nintendo 3DS in the Americas, Europe, Australia and New Zealand on December 10 at 14:00 UTC and the equivalent. We strongly suspect it will rock everyone's socks off. (Fortunately, we're quite sure that our gamers have an abundant supply of socks.) The Japanese version will come later, as will all other platforms," Image & Form writes in a press release.

Furthermore, they have revealed that the price is set to £14.99, which is significantly more than predecessor SteamWorld Dig. That being said the new game is supposedly much bigger, so we should get our money's worth. On top of that Image & Form is doing a holiday sale from launch until the end of the year, where there price is reduced to £11.99.

We can also look forward to a launch trailer that's coming out on December 8th.
