Street Fighter V first came out in 2016 to continue the long-running franchise, and despite the release of an updated Arcade Version last year, we haven't had a new mainline entry since then, with the series' executive producer Yoshinori Ono hinting that we won't be seeing one soon either.
Responding to an unofficial illustration of Street Fighter 6 on Twitter, Ono said that he's honoured that Street Fighter was chosen, but "this is too early, isn't it? Could you please wait for 10 years...?"
Now we presume from the winky face afterwards that this 10 years remark may be a joke, although we're not too sure, considering it's "too early" for a sixth game right now.
Street Fighter V is still proving popular, so Capcom will be in no rush, especially since it's one of the most popular titles in the fighting game community with regards to esports tournaments too.
Would you like a sixth game?
