If you still have your Super Nintendo Entertainment System around (or perhaps you call it the SNES), you might want to dust it off to play some good old Street Fighter in cartridge format today, even if you don't own the original game, as IAm8Bit is releasing a new limited batch of 5,500 copies of Capcom's original. Street Fighter II gets new SNES cartridge release

The move is part of the original Street Fighter 30th Anniversary celebrations, as the arcade game released in Japan three decades ago yesterday, including two enormous buttons and some pretty generic characters.

If you don't own an original SNES, you can play the turbo version of Street Fighter II on the SNES Mini, as it's included in the tiny machine launching in less than a month. Also part of the 30th Anniversary campaign was the launch of Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers for Nintendo Switch, the alleged "ultimate version" of the genre-defining brawler.

Is Street Fighter II the best game in the series?
