Stylish new indie game Ashen shown during E3

Xbox One X launch exclusive Ashen just got a new E3 2017 trailer and it's beautiful. Aurora44's new third-person action RPG boasts a unique art style and what appears to be souls-like gameplay, which it describes as 'high-risk combat'.

You take on the mantle of a lone wanderer in a sunless land. The focus on light as a mechanic and story device is quite clear here, as the only light in this bleak game sputters from a lantern at your character's side.

Players will have to choose who to trust and guide those select few back to their camp to rest. The game is really about forging relationships, as together you might just stand a chance against the darkness.

Traverse an open-world with non-linear progression in a land dominated by giant creatures. The game will also feature passive multiplayer similar in application to fellow indie game, Journey.
