We had a chat with lead level designer Julien Desourteaux about the next adventure starring the sneaky Goblin Styx - Styx: Shards of Darkness.

"As level designers we really like this game," says Desourteaux of Styx: Master of Shadows. "When Focus and Cyanide told us 'why not do a 2', I said 'yeah, that's great'. It's an opportunity to improve what we had. It's like Styx: Master of Shadows was a rough diamond and we tried to polish it. And as you can see we changed the engine as well so there is a graphical improvement, our mechanics are now smoother, there is more synchronisation between the mechanics, a few new ones as well."

Styx: Shards of Darkness will see release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One later this year.
