Subway Surfers, the hugely successful endless runner developed by Kiloo and Sybo Games, has passed an impressive milestone of 2.5 billion downloads across all platforms, making it one of the most downloaded mobile games of all time.

"Crossing the 2.5 billion downloads mark is a major milestone for Subway Surfers. It shows that our efforts of keeping the gameplay fun and engaging resonate with the players. In the end, it's always the players who decide if your game stays around to become an evergreen," said Jacob Møller, Kiloo CEO.

This announcement - made shortly after the game's seventh anniversary - comes after a year in which it was the second most downloaded mobile game of 2018, with more than 400 million mostly organic downloads.

Mathias Gredal Nørvig, Sybo's CEO, added: "It's been an incredible seven years for Subway Surfers, as we celebrate our anniversary, we cross another massive download mark. Our fan base continues to flourish while remaining wholeheartedly loyal."

To celebrate the anniversary, players of Subway Surfers new and old can get their hands on a free Birthday Board until June 5, so be sure to log on and take part in the celebrations.
