After taking a year off due to ill health, game designer Hidetaka "Swery65" Suehiro has stepped down from his position at Access Games.

Swery65, who had a hand in multiple cult favourites including Deadly Premonition and D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, had been taking time off due to his reactive hypoglycemia. This has since prompted him to "retire" from the studio, although his long-term plans remain unclear as he says on Twitter that he's feeling much better and hopes to return to game development at some point in the future.

Along with a screenshot of one of his most divisive titles (the aforementioned Deadly Premonition), Suehiro wrote the following message to his fans: "Day 360, Unfortunately I retired from Access Games after all. However Don't worry, because my health condition is getting be fine. Love you!"
