The theme of the Call of Duty World League Championship at Call of Duty XP this weekend has been upsets. Favoured teams like Optic Gaming and Faze Clan finished outside of the top six, where Europe was represented by two teams FAB Games and Splyce. The latter actually made it all the way to the grand finals after having lost to FAB Games in the winner's bracket.

There was one team that played strongly throughout the entire tournament, one team who never lost, and one team who always looked good in all modes and against all teams they faced - Team EnVyUs. They beat Team eLevate in the winner's brackets finals, and after Splyce defeated eLevate in the loser's bracket finals - it was EnVyUs versus Splyce in the grand final, and EnVyUs only needed one try.

But it was Splyce who was off to a winning start, taking the first round of Hardpoint (250-196), but EnVyUs would rebound to win Search and Destroy on Stronghold (6-2), Uplink on Evac (13-10), and finally the decisive round of Capture the Flag on Breach (4-2).

We managed to have a chat with Team EnVyUs' Apathy after the game against eLevate and ahead of the grand final, and he did seem confident.

REVIEW. Written by Paul Davies

"This is a fully-fledged super Call of Duty that we're honestly absolutely terrified of losing our lives to."
