Team Ninja to play in first NA Ignition Series tournament
The team, headed by the streaming star, will make an appearance in the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown this Friday.

Ninja has stepped into the world of competitive Valorant and will be heading up his own team to compete in the first North American Ignition Series event taking place this Friday. His team, as revealed on Twitter, is comprised of esports pros Michael "sonii" Sherman, Austin "Morgausse" Etue, Greg "Grego" McAllen, and Alex "Lex" Deily.
The T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown will take place June 26 - 28 and will offer the largest prize pool for North America to date with $50,000 up for grabs. It is the first North American tournament within the newly-launched Ignition Series, and follows after the Rage Japan Invitational and the G2 Esports Valorant Invitational, which both took place last week.
