This past weekend was a big one for fans of Dota 2 esports, as the ESL One competition had its finals in Katowice, Poland, with Team Secret becoming champions and earning $125,000 USD after defeating Gambit Esports in the grand final of the event.
Secret always looked good in the tournament, as they only suffered one loss out of 10 in Group A, which was to The International 2018 winners OG. Gambit was also in their group, ending with a 7-3 record in second place behind Secret.
After defeating Ninjas in Pyjamas, Secret beat Gambit yet again to send them to the losers bracket, where they were forced to beat OG 2-0 to set up a rematch. Secret were just as dominant in the grand final though, sweeping Gambit aside by a 3-0 margin to seal the trophy as theirs.
Is Team Secret the best team around right now?
