With Tekken 7 finally available (you can read our review here), and as Bandai Namco didn't release these official details before, the picture resolution of the different versions of the title for the several console platforms has now been calculated.

According to the measurements performed by Digital Foundry, Tekken 7 runs at 60 FPS on every system, so the toll was mostly taken on the resolution side of things in order to keep the steady frame-rate with Unreal Engine 4:

• Tekken 7 runs at 1280x720, 60FPS on Xbox One and S.
• Tekken 7 runs at 1536x864, 60FPS on PS4 standard.
• Tekken 7 runs at full-HD, 1920x1080, 60FPS, on PS4 Pro.

The PC version, on the other hand, is able to handle 1080p60 plus better IQ when running on competent gaming hardware, and can even go up to 1440p, though it's a less stable option.

Other than the rather unusual choice for the standard PS4's resolution, the loading times measured by the same source are also worth noting. DF loaded the Jungle Outpost stage, which took 15 seconds on an SSD PC, 21 secs on standard PS4, and 24 secs on PS4 Pro (perhaps due to the higher-res output), but it's way worse on Xbox One, with 40 secs of loading screen before a fight.

With character models and texture quality being the same, the only remaining tweaks impact lighting and effects, again with Xbox One getting the biggest cut.

Will Scorpio provide Xbox users with the very best version of Tekken 7 for consoles? Leave a comment below.
