Tekken X Street Fighter is not cancelled

However it sounds like release is still far off.

After years of radio silence regarding Tekken X Street Fighter, and the fact that Street Fighter X Tekken was something of a commercial failure, many assumed that the game had been cancelled or put on hold. This thought was strengthened by the fact that Akuma from the Street Fighter series will join the ensemble in Tekken 7 as a guest character.

But in a recent interview with Official Playstation Magazine, Senior Game Designer, Michael Murray from Bandai Namco says that Tekken X Street Fighter is still very much alive:

"It's still in development, but as far as a release window we haven't really decided on that."

We're gonna have to assume that the release window will be pretty far away from Tekken 7, so a reasonable guess is late 2017 at the very earliest, but more likely 2018.

If you want to play Bandai Namcos version of Akuma, make sure you don't miss out on Tekken 7.

Thanks, PSU.
