Re-Logic has just unveiled some impressive numbers relating to the continued success of Terraria, which they say has now shifted more than 20 million copies since it was first released back in 2011.

The studio also released a handful of interesting stats to further emphasise how far the game has come in the last five-six years. For example, when the game released on PC, it launched with 250 in-game items, whereas now it's out on PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, 3DS, Wii U, iOS, Android, Windows Phone and Amazon Mobile, and there's now over 3,800 items for players to enjoy.

More interesting factoids regarding the game's evolution can be found here, if you're that way inclined. In the meantime, here's a few words from the devs about the game's immediate future:

"With Console 1.3 just around the corner, Mobile 1.3 right behind that, and even more tidbits that we are not quite ready to share (yes, that includes an update on the status of Otherworld - but let's save that for another day and just have fun celebrating this milestone :) ).

"So, we will close again by thanking each and every one of you that have supported us along the way and we hope that you are looking forward to - and will be right here alongside us for - all of the amazing experiences that are yet to come.

"Here's to 20,000,000....and the next 20,000,000!"
