The Call of Duty League 2020 reportedly pulled in 331,558 viewers for its concluding match, which saw Dallas Empire take on Atlanta FaZe. The average viewership was also pretty high, with roughly 92,000 viewers lingering around to watch the unfolding action. This is an impressive result considering that the tournament is only in its first year and has had little time to really establish itself.
The final did significantly better than the regular Home Series events, which pulled in around 100,000 viewers at a time. This surge in viewership could be down to the fact a champion was about to be crowned, or it could be due to the viewership rewards that were offered. We reported last week that players had the chance to earn beta codes for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and other in-game rewards just for tuning in and watching the final.
Thanks, Dot Esports.
