Following in the footsteps of I am Setsuna, the second project from Tokyo RPG Factory will be released early next year on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and on PC via Steam. Published by Square Enix, Lost Sphear is described over on its official website as:

"The next evolution in this new golden age of JRPG's, bringing a fresh take on classic RPG gameplay! A young man, who suffered a phenomenon that he had never seen, faces an ominous power that threatens the fabric of reality. Awaken the power of Memory to restore what was lost! Muster different Memory and craft the world around you in a journey to save the world."

In order to prevent the world from sinking forever, then, Kanata and his companions will aim to rebuild all around them through the power of Memory, by turning thoughts into reality. How philosophical.

Here's the first trailer. Let us know what you think in the comments.

Lost Sphear

REVIEW. Written by Graham Bellars

"While many old-school JRPG fans may really enjoy Lost Sphear, ourselves included, the game unfortunately doesn't quite merit the nostalgia it aims to provide."
