Bethesda has announced that the next spin-off in the Elder Scrolls series will be a free-to-play RPG that will be coming to mobile, PC, consoles, and virtual reality later in the year.
The story follows that of the Blades, a faction of warriors sworn to serve the Emperor from the Elder Scrolls universe. You play as one of these elite soldiers who returns home to find your village destroyed.
The game involves a mix of first-person building mechanics as well as classic Elder Scrolls combat, which can be controlled by touch screens on phones. There are several modes available as well as the aforementioned Town mode, which includes the Abyss, a roguelike endless dungeon crawl and the Arena, a PvP combat mode.
The game looks remarkably good for mobile and should support a host of control systems across the various platforms. You can register your interest in early access here.
