Star Wars: The Force Unleashed from 2008 is the best selling Star Wars game of all times and the sequel should not come as a surprise to anyone. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II was announced at the Video Game Awards this past weekend and once again we will see the torn protagonist Starkiller take on both sides of the force during the time between episode III and IV. The game is set for release in 2010.

A quote came along with the press release:

"Executive Producer Haden Blackman and his team have been able to build on the core foundation of the award-winning original and create a powerful combination of engrossing story-telling and intense action. The Force Unleashed II gives fans an opportunity to wreak havoc on an even greater scale in the Star Wars universe," said LucasArts' President Darrell Rodriguez.

There really isn't many other details available at the moment, but we expect more details to surface in the coming months. No details on platforms has been released, but we expect Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II to appear on just about every format known to man (with the PC version appearing a year after that).
