Sabotage Studio's The Messenger is really something quite special, as you can read in our review here, and now we've got even more good news for fans who have already completed it once, since New Game+ has now landed.

Players who made it through this grueling ordeal of a game and have completed progression to 100% (well done, by the way) can now start a New Game+ for that extra bit of challenge. In this mode you take more damage, enemies take less damage, and each time you have to start a new run another + is added to your save file, meaning you take even more damage each time, and the bosses get increasingly stronger and healthier. Too many runs and you'll soon be destroyed as soon as someone looks at you a little hard, or blows a kiss your way. Sounds fun, right?

Sabotage Studio has also added some quality of life improvements, like control remapping, making the underwater bits more accessible by adding visual cues, and updating the map with the Prophet's hint feature to make things a little bit easier for new adventurers.

They've also revealed in a press release that they'll be announcing some exciting news about the game on the Kinda Funny Games Showcase on December 8 at 18:00 GMT (19:00 CET).

Have you tried The Messenger? Are you looking forward to an even more difficult run?
