Today is a pretty exciting day for European Valorant esports as it marks the start of the Stage 1 playoffs for the EMEA region of the Valorant Champions Tour. This event, while boasting a respectable €200,000 prize pool, will see teams fighting over three available slots to the first Masters event of the year, which will see VCT teams from all around the world heading to Iceland to compete in an international major with much higher stakes. Needless to say, teams will be wanting to secure their spot.

To this end, following weeks of regular season play, we now know the teams who will be fighting through the double-elimination bracket, and likewise know the initial schedule.

To start with, at 15:00 GMT / 16:00 CET today, Guild Esports will be facing M3 Champions, with the winner heading on to take on Fnatic tomorrow. Likewise, at 18:00 GMT / 19:00 CET today, G2 Esports will be going head-to-head with Team Liquid, with the winner moving on to face FunPlus Phoenix tomorrow as well.

While we'll have to wait to see how the rest of the bracket fills out, we do know exactly when the grand finals will be taking place, albeit without knowing who will be competing in it yet. It's set for Sunday, March 27 at 15:00 BST / 16:00 CEST (as daylight saving time will be in effect across Europe then).

Be sure to head here to catch all of the action.
