The Astronauts' beautiful adventure game The Vanishing of Ethan Carter will finally launch on Xbox One later this month. The official Microsoft Store revealed that starting on January 19 Xbox players can buy the game for £15.99/€19.99. The narrative experience contains tiny elements of atmospheric horror and will be enhanced on Xbox One X (4K resolution). We very much enjoyed The Vanishing of Ethan Carter when it first came out in 2014 (here's our review), so it's great that Xbox One players finally get their hands on this charming title.

In addition to the content found in the PC and PS4 versions, there will also be a Free Roam mode in the Xbox One version, as stated in the press release it "allows players to take in the sights and sounds of Red Creek Valley on their own terms, without a trace of murder".

Have you played The Vanishing of Ethan Carter? If so, what are your thoughts?
