If you've ever wanted to try a game that mixes MOBA gameplay with the Battle Royale concept, the stop everything because Stunlock Studios has retrofitted its MOBA Battlerite with a new mode that should speak to you.

A mode combining MOBA and Battle Royale features is intended to "bring the ultimate survival experience to action RPG and MOBA players," says Stunlock's Johan Iives, who added that they "wanted to give players the excitement of a Diablo-esque exploration experience combined with the character variation of a MOBA and the thrill of a survival game"

The games will each last approximately ten minutes and they'll take place on a map 30 times bigger than the usual one. 20 players will be fighting to finish as the only survivor, although the mode can be played alone or in pairs. The game's 27 champions will be available for selection, and if you're unfamiliar with the base game it comes with a free-to-play setup with a weekly rotation of champions that can be purchased individually or all together.

We rather enjoyed Battlerite when we reviewed it last year, and this mode seems quite well thought out all things considered. It's certainly going to be interesting to see how these two distinct and influential online game types work together.

"It does a great job of taking a loved MOBA feature, and focusing on making it the best it can be."
