THQ skips Gamescom

With Nintendo already announcing that they won't be exhibiting at Gamescom, the German show was hit with another major absentee today, Games Markt reports. THQ, who will have a minor presence at E3 this coming month (not on the actual showfloor, but in a meeting room according to official show plans), will not be exhibiting at Gamescom. The nature of the massive public show makes exhibiting quite expensive, so given THQ's financial difficulties it is perhaps not that surprising.

Remains to be seen if THQ can dig their way out of this hole, and whether their trimmed down presence at major gaming events will further damage their brand.
