This past weekend saw the Red Bull Mobile Esports Open by ESL take place, and after the dust had settled British player Liam 'ThunderStruck' McCarron emerged as the winner of the Clash Royale competition, winning the grand final 4-3 at the Warsteiner Music Hall in Dortmund.

ThunderStruck has already won the EE Mobile Series last month and has joined Fnatic, so he would've been favourites for a lot of people. That said, he did draw level at 3-3 after taking an early 3-0 lead, but held his nerve to get the trophy.

"I am in shock right now. Thank you all for this great experience and I am so proud that I could represent my country here in such a successful way. It was a stunning event, which I will not forget that fast," he said.
