Total War: Three Kingdoms gets Hero's Journey Trailer

Legendary strategist Zhuge Liang partners up with Liu Bei, as the Kingdom of Shu Han prepares for war.

Creative Assembly has released a new trailer for their upcoming historical strategy game Total War: Three Kingdoms. Titled 'A Hero's Journey', this video features historical strategist Zhuge Liang as he monologues on the beauty of China and how it's spoiled by the wars fought for greed. Eventually, he teams up with founder of the Shu Han kingdom Liu Bei.

This trailer, as well as introducing the major characters in one of the game's three major kingdoms, shows in-game cinematics and parts of the map all using the in-game engine. This includes lush forests of bamboo, cliffs with cascading waterfalls, snow-covered fields, and of course pandas.
