A new trademark filed by Nintendo suggests we will be getting a new Wario Land game. According to website Japanese Nintendo Nintendo registered nine new trademarks for "downloadable videogames". These were Octo, Dillon's Dead-Heat Breakers, Luigi's Mansion, Mario & Luigi, Metroid, Metroid Prime, Smash Bros., Wario Land and Wario Ware.

Almost all these titles were announced at previous Nintendo Direct streams. The last Wario Land game, Wario Land: The Shake Dimension, was released in 2008 on Nintendo Wii and saw a re-release on Wii U in 2016. Of course, it could also have to do with a re-release of an old Wario Land game, but nevertheless, it shows there's something downloadable in the pipe.
