The rumour about Dunkirk director Christopher Nolan directing the 25th James Bond movie was killed last week and now it seems like Trainspotting/127 Hours-director Danny Boyle (who won an Oscar for Slumdog Millionaire) is being lined up to potentially direct it. Supposedly Danny Boyle is working with his Trainspotting partner John Hodge on a script that could potentially replace that already in work by the Skyfall/Spectre writing team of Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. If MGM and the producers picks Hodge's script over the one by Purvis and Wade, then Boyle would likely direct it. Otherwise, they'd have to find another director. All of this according to Deadline's report.

It would certainly make for a different James Bond if Boyle's previous efforts are anything to go by. Would you like to see Boyle direct the next 007?
